I think as a parent it's always bittersweet to watch your kids grow up. Your goal from the day they're born is to raise them to become responsible, caring, independant young adults, and yet you're constantly reflecting back over the years and yearning for those days when they were able to crawl in your lap for a bedtime story. Well, yesterday was definitely a reflecting day for me. It began here at home with Paige and I doing the hair, makeup, pedicure.....ya know, all the pre-prom girly stuff. The flowers arrived at our door step by noon thanks to Lisa at Post Road English Gardens, then off to do a photo shoot on the canal.
May I just say "Wowsa!" Paige and Zach looked so handsome and beautiful all dressed up! And GROWN UP!! I've known Zach since he was 11 years old, and he is now quite an awesome young man.
After our fun on the canal, we headed to Harry & Izzy's where Paige and Zach enjoyed an elegant dinner. Zach's parents Lynna & Todd, two of the nicest people on this planet, and I had dinner in the mall at Johnny Rockets. Hmmm, shouldn't the kids be eating at Johnny Rockets? Just kidding:o)
Last stop, The Children's Museum for the dance. I'm pretty sure they had a good time :o) Thank you so much for coming down from Ft. Wayne Fritcha family! Zach, you're the greatest guy ever!! And thank you Todd and Lynna for doing an amazing job filling in as my assistant/ lighting crew during the canal photo shoot. Paige usually has that job, but she was a little busy looking stunning on the other side of the camera this time :o)
